hi all
my name is terry(got to say this is weird )
im 32 (33 this year) ihave been a collector since the begining ,only had a few at first ,then i got a job ,that was that my collection went overboard ,near the end of g1 begin g2 i sold most of my collection (due to females and technolagy) i guess ) ,but found another transformers fan when i was selling my stuff witch started me off again and its still going strong .
i am the uncle of another poster here (nighthawk)but hopefuly shell post her own thread.
my fave line other than g1 has to be r. i. d. but i also still like the other lines too (armada the least fave though ,unicron not included).
i carnt say for sure how many transformers i have (know its over 500 ) ,i also have other stuff that ive collected over the years :- gobots ,m.a.s.k. ,starcom , final fantasy among other (lol any of these are realy you for sale/trade).
i also like big cats ,hence the name catgut (also catilla )
i joined this site after i got the link off ebay ,then i lost my pass word ,so i didnt reapear until about 3 or 4 months after (ruffly) and have been here ever since ,ive been to other boards but just not for me ,i found this site to be an easy going ,freindly and helpfull site and a site that dosnt mind a laugh or 2 ether and has some of the best posters too .
in my mind each and ever person bring something to the site to make it the best site yet.

what type of transformers are you into (g1,g2 soon ),think the g1 had the best milatery stuff in it ?

I loved Gen one and Two, I had loads, from Menasor (but I lost most of the cannon bits ), Scorponok, PowerMaster Optimus Prime ( unfortunately, my younger brother broke his side cannon and lost some bits!) I had SkullCruncher and I'm currently trying to have my first Galvatron, though I'm cannabalising ones off ebay. My first Transformer was a blue Jet plane called Dogfight, which had a minimotor that caused the plane wings to flip slowly 360 and reveal that the jets were actually blaster cannons as well. I still have him somewhere. Mindwipe was another favourite, but I never owned one myself. Oh yeah I had one called Blitzwing once that if I had another Jet, I could mould the two into a sortof Star Destroyer type superjet. I'd love to get that. *blushes* Oh dear, I'm in full Transformer rant mode!! Lemme know if u want to hear more

I'm thinking I might try to fix Optimus, I have most of his pieces and perhaps one of the only Gen Ones to have survived me complete and intact (lol) but succumbed to the destructive influence of my brother and his d**ned Power Rangers!!. I've recovered most of the bits, but am still missing guns and a replacement for the side cannon. The point of me getting Galvatron was to face off against Prime ( and let Prime win of course!). Im in the middle of a retro phase and collecting things from my childhood in general, not just Transformers, but they are the coolest. I currently am trying to get a replacement Mumm-Ra the Everliving ( the main bad guy from Thundercats who, in the abscence of Megatron or Galvatron, was the leader of all my evil toys against Prime and the Autobots!) Also have recently acquired a rare Darth Vader with removable helmet, still boxed, to complete my awesome Star Wars collection ( which I have kept out of my brothers grasping hands when he was little) Also have collected some of the Lord Of The Rings figures too, but mainly my favourites rather than full on collecting, though a close friend of mine has loads of figures and collectables on LOTR as I am on Star Wars. I just wish I'd held on to more Transformers before the clearout ( when I was about 12)

i use to collect the droids out of star wars ,but swaped them for transformers ;D

You mean you collected the Star Wars mini series Droids?? Wow. I remember them when I was little. I have a Star Wars "Action figure Archive" which is basically the back catalogue of them. I used to love Visionaries too, but I only ever got two videos of them, "Lion Hunt" and another one I can't quite remember without checking. Boy, they're old now, but what a concept! I always wanted one of their Dropship thingys with the Hologram conversion chamber under the wing ( in Lion Hunt vid, the chambers used to trap the Lion character in his animal form). I never saw MASK from the start though, so never got into that well. I also remember Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors and wanted to see that from the beginning too. Pity that TV cartoons nowadays don't screen some of the older concepts instead of variants on the same theme. My brother loves the Yu-Gi-Oh series, but having watched some of it, it gets slightly tedious with the sudden introduction of random new card thats apparently useless until someone's on their last move and somehow it's a killer. Love the concept, but the trouble is the animators seem to live on rehashing this scenario, rather than come up with original situations

droids for the mini series and the main film ,i had a stack ,but the transformers won out .
it swas the daggar assault ,with the chamber in it ,it was a nice toy as well ,but big .
i have a load of the figuer also so of the vehicles too.

if you can get sky you can watch jayce and the wheeled warrior,ulysses 31 ,mask all on jetex

lol yu gi oh aint all that tuff a card player ,ive won him 12 in a straight on duelists of the rose for the ps2

lol unfortunately I don't have Sky, and havent for the last 10 years, but hopefully might get something of them on the switch over to digital set top box! lol My brothers got one of the Yu-gi-Oh computer games called Forbidden Memories, but I can't get into it. I've tried playing the card game, but he seems to make up all the rules of which cards I can deploy and when and the combos to forge into new warriors, all too complex for me. I'm happy with a straightforward game like Pokemon, but nothing, not even the mighty "Exodia" or any of the God cards I reckon could be a match for Optimus, Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, Galvatron, Scorponok or Megatron!!!

No I hadn't but I have seen other "Transformers versus" online comic strips. Admittedly, only ones with Galvatron in, mainly because they seem the most plausible (in that it would be like Galvatron to pick a fight with anyone) Though I am surprised that in new Transformer series only Prime and Megatron/Galvatron make a accurate comeback and while others like Jazz and Bumblebee' s personalities are recast ( The cheetah and Rattrap out of Beast Wars and Starscream as the Male Arachnid ( I'm not so hot on Beast wars, I only know some bits from babysitting my brother)
